It's the end of 2017, and what a year it has been! We have inhabited in our new studio now for the better part of the year and we are enjoying every moment of it. We are so grateful to our devoted clients and it has been such a thrill to share our new space with them. Like my kids, I love each of our clients images equally, but what is a year end without a best-of list? Here are a few unforgettable images from 2017.1 - This senior brought style and football skills to his session, we loved this GQ-worthy pose so much we have a canvas on display in our studio.2 - We love a baby when they can sit up well but not quite crawl away yet, and this little guy was here at a perfect time to sit in our new Mid Century shell chair.3 - Kids in all stages deserve to be celebrated, tweens included. We love that moment when they can let go and share a sometimes elusive laugh for us to capture!4 - This family has done traditional portraits for many years, and decided to bring in the kids personal interests to their session this year. A memorable one and probably the loudest we had all year! ;-)5 - This pups owners wanted to capture him while he was still in his puppy state, before he grows into the lovable giant he is sure to become. Valentine's Day is upon us, and while we love our sweeties, we have a simple family Valentine's Day idea that ANYONE can do! My family did it last year and I'm excited to do it again. Get some pink and red papers and cut out a bunch of hearts. You can trace some and have your kiddos practice cutting with safety scissors. Starting on February 1st through Valentine's Day, have each family member jot down something they love about each other family member on separate hearts. They can just be small little things! Tape them to each persons bedroom door. Enjoy feeling the love!
